Today, Ukraine is on the path toward European integration, making the development of alternative energy extremely important. A priority area of the institution’s activity is the training of specialists in the field of renewable energy. In 2019, a training and practical center was established for the profession “Electrician for Repair and Maintenance of Solar Power Installations”, and in 2025, within the framework of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine’s project #100_Workshops, a Center for Electrotechnical Technologies and Renewable Energy was opened.

Specialists are currently being trained in the professions “Installation and Maintenance Technician for Renewable Energy Systems” and “Electrician-Fitter for Electrical Equipment Repair.”

On the premises of the institution, there is a European-style East-West solar power station, a sun-tracking system, a three-row ground-mounted solar station with a book-style panel layout and a static tilt angle. A total of 99 RISEN 550 solar panels have been installed to supply the training building with self-produced electricity.

The planned annual generation of the institution’s solar power stations is between 35,000 and 37,000 kilowatt-hours.

In addition, a solar thermal system based on solar radiation has been installed with a capacity of about 8.7 kW, using flat and vacuum solar collectors for water heating (heat carrier).

This allows students to study energy-saving technologies and the principles of energy management in practice.

Shostka Center for Vocational and Technical Education trains specialists who will help implement international environmental programs, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and develop a sustainable energy sector in the country.

The institution is home to a team of experienced teachers and vocational training masters. A modern material and technical base has been created to ensure deep learning, and all conditions have been provided for revealing the individual abilities and talents of every student.

The educational process is enriched with training, interactive classes, themed events, extracurricular clubs, and volunteer initiatives, which promote the comprehensive development of students, and help shape their moral values and social skills.

The institution also houses a Career Development Center – a bridge to a successful future for graduates. It helps students plan their professional path, develop business skills to support informed career decisions, and encourages active job searching while providing assistance with employment.

Our mission is not only to teach a profession but also to educate responsible, conscious, and active citizens who will help shape the future of Ukraine.
